Pop Blitz
Click or tap bubbles to pop them as fast as you can before they slip past the edge. Each pop scores points — let too many escape and you lose HP.
Bubbles appear in different sizes and speeds. Survive as long as possible and chase the highest score. You start with 5 HP.
How to Play
- Pop: Click or tap each bubble to destroy it
- Don't let bubbles escape — each miss costs 1 HP
- You have 5 HP to start
- Mobile: touch controls fully supported
About This Game
Pop Blitz is a speed-clicking arcade game where bubbles of different sizes float across the screen and it's your job to pop every single one. The game rewards fast, accurate clicking over sustained pressure — a good run feels like a sharp, efficient burst of focus rather than an endurance test.
Why We Built It
Click-target games are a natural fit for both mouse and touch because the input model is identical: find target, press it. Pop Blitz pushed this to its limit by varying bubble size (affecting the precision required) and bubble speed (affecting the reaction window). The result is a game that gets harder not just because more things appear, but because the things that appear demand more of you individually.
How It Works
Bubbles are spawned with randomized size, speed, and trajectory. Each bubble moves linearly until it exits the canvas boundary. A click/tap is registered as a hit if it falls within the bubble's circular radius. Bubbles that exit without being popped reduce the HP counter. Smaller bubbles have tighter hit radii and faster speeds, creating a natural prioritization challenge: do you chase the small fast one, or guarantee the large slow ones?
Tips & Strategy
- Prioritize bubbles heading toward the exit edge, not the ones nearest to you. A bubble about to leave is more dangerous than one that just appeared.
- Small, fast bubbles are score traps — chasing one often means missing two large slow ones. Unless it's about to escape, let it go.
- Scan the whole screen before committing to a sequence. A planned click order beats reactive popping.
- On mobile, use a light press rather than a firm tap — you'll click faster and reduce accidental misses from dragging.
Ideas for Improvement
- Special bubbles — golden bubbles worth triple points, bomb bubbles that destroy nearby ones if popped, and shield bubbles that block other pops.
- Combo chain — a multiplier that grows with consecutive pops and resets when a bubble escapes.
- Time-limited rounds — 30-second sprint mode where score rather than HP is the focus.
- Difficulty selector — preset starting conditions for casual (larger bubbles, slower speed) and expert (tiny fast bubbles from the start).
